Swissport Algeria Granted Ground Handling Licenses For Constantine, Batna And Tlemcen International Airports

Deals for Constantine, Batna and Tlemcen airports will further strengthen Swissport’s market position in Algeria and Africa along wilth current operations in South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Morocco, Nigeria and Cameroon.

Swissport International (Swissport), the world’s leading provider of ground and cargo handling services to the aviation industry, welcomes the five-year ground handling licence award for the three International Airports Constantine Mohamed Boudiaf, Batna Mostepha Ben Boulaid and Tlemcen Zenata Messali El Hadj. The new Ground Handling licenses, bestowed by the Etablissement de Gestion des Services Aéroportuaires (EGSA) Constantine and Oran mark another important milestone in Swissport’s geographical expansion in Algeria and the whole of Africa.

Swissport will work jointly and closely with the respective airport authorities EGSA Constantine and Oran to ensure that the new ground handling licences for Constantine, Batna and Tlemcen airports will significantly benefit all three locations, as well as the Algerian aviation sector in general.

Swissport, known for its high quality ground services and respectable business relations and practices, has engaged with the involved stakeholders to ensure a perfectly organized and successful commencement of operations at Constantine, Batna and Tlemcen Airports. While operations in Constantine already started on 15 May 2014, the respective commencement of services in Batna and Tlemcen are scheduled for July 31st 2014. Swissport Algeria is committed to selecting, training and deploying qualified and motivated local handling staff, and has assigned an experienced management team to secure an efficient start-up for all three locations.
