Gulfstream Appoints Thomas Anderson Director of Product Support at Long Beach Site

Gulfstream Long Beach, a 325,182-square-foot facility with more than 850 employees, includes a maintenance center for all Gulfstream aircraft and a completions center for the Gulfstream G650 and G550 aircraft.

SAVANNAH, Georgia, July 17, 2014 — Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. recently named Thomas Anderson director of Product Support for its site at Long Beach Airport in California. In this position, Anderson oversees operations at the Gulfstream Long Beach Service Center. He reports to Becky Johnson, vice president and general manager, Gulfstream Long Beach.

“Tom is a seasoned manager with a strong background in cross-site standardization, lean manufacturing and, in particular, customer service,” said Becky Johnson, vice president and general manager, Gulfstream Long Beach. “He has already visited many of our customers up and down the West Coast. His goal is to enhance the customer experience in Long Beach, and he and his team are well on their way to doing that.”

Gulfstream Long Beach, a 325,182-square-foot/30,210-square-meter facility with more than 850 employees, includes a maintenance center for all Gulfstream aircraft and a completions center for the Gulfstream G650 and G550 aircraft. Service center technicians work on 75 to 100 aircraft a month.

Before moving into his new position, Anderson spent 10 months as director, Final Phase Operations, for the G550 and G450 at Gulfstream headquarters in Savannah.

Anderson, who joined Gulfstream in 2002, has also been a senior manager, Final Phase Operations for the G550 and G450; senior manager, Final Phase; manager, Premium Furniture Woodshop; and manager, Final Phase.

Anderson’s 26-year aviation industry career includes 13 years in Long Beach with McDonnell Douglas/Boeing in Materials and Interior Operations and two years as general manager of an aerospace tube and duct fabrication facility in Vista, California.

Anderson earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University in Ohio and a Master of Business Administration degree from Mercer University in Georgia.
