Salem, OR – June 19, 2014 – EPIC Aviation (EPIC) is proud to announce Colonel Steven (Steve) D. Kephart will be assuming, effective September 1, 2014, the newly developed executive role for EPIC as Vice President of Governmental Fueling and Logistics. He will join EPIC in early July, while on military leave, to begin his transition just a few weeks before his official military retirement on August 31st.
Colonel Kephart will be retiring from his final appointment as Director of Customer Operations, DLA Energy (formerly Defense Energy Support Center). Prior to that assignment, Kephart was assigned as Chief, Air Force Customer Facing Division, Defense Supply Center Richmond, a field activity of the Defense Logistics Agency, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
Kephart is a graduate of the National War College, Fort McNair, Washington, DC. Before his assignment to school, he also served as the Chief, Petroleum and Bulk Water Branch, The Joint Staff/J4, The Pentagon, Washington. Colonel Kephart received his commission in 1986 from Officer Training School (OTS). During his 28-year military career, he served in numerous Wing, intermediate, ALC, and higher headquarters positions within the supply/fuels sector.
