Hawkesbury – (June 5, 2014) – UTair Aviation has chosen DART Aerospace products for their AS350/ AS355 family of helicopters.
During the 2014 HeliRussia exhibition, held in Moscow last May, UTair-Engineering (Russia), DART Aerospace (Canada) and Heliatica (Russia) signed a three party cooperation agreement which included a UTair procurement plan for DART products for its fleet of AS350 and AS355 helicopters and a general agreement stating that UTair acts as completion center for the installation of DART products to third party customers.
DART Aerospace provides industry-leading design, manufacturing and market-certified solutions for the helicopter and aerospace industries, with 5,000 products sold in more than 120 countries around the world. The agreement with UTair focuses on the procurement of the Auxiliary Fuel Tanks (which brings the 25% increase of the range), Heli-Utility-Baskets™ (each helicopter can be equipped with 2 baskets, each with a 150 kg weight capacity) and Bearpaw Kit (keeps tail high in soft terrain to prevent tail strikes) for AS350 and AS355 Airbus Helicopters models. These DART solutions will significantly increase operational flexibility for UTair and will bring a certain competitive advantage to their fleet in Russia.
All chosen products are approved by the Russian Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC). The IAC AR certification, sales and after sales support in Russia are managed by Heliatica, a private company that will also distribute DART’s aftermarket products in IAC countries.
