This year as well, Lufthansa Technik was a double winner at the "Aircraft Technology Engineering & Maintenance Awards" by the industry publisher UBM Aviation. The company took home the coveted prize in two of thirteen categories: it was named best MRO provider in Europe for the fourth time in a row, but also won the "People Development and Training Award", which was presented this year for the first time.
The Aircraft Technology Engineering & Maintenance Awards are determined via Internet voting among thousands of industry specialists, who may not vote for their own companies. An industry jury selects the winners from the list of nominated companies.
Lufthansa Technik is the first winner of the "People Development and Training Award", which was newly created in 2014 to acknowledge outstanding training and continuing education opportunities for employees in the aviation industry.
Andre Fischer, Sales Director Central Europe, and Paul Conway, Director of Sales for the UK and Ireland, received the two awards on behalf of Lufthansa Technik at the gala dinner in London.
