SAVANNAH, Ga., May 5, 2014 — Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has appointed Arno Forehand as general manager of its component repair facility in Lincoln, Calif. He replaces David Pearman, who is now the general manager of Gulfstream’s service center in West Palm Beach, Fla.
In his new role, Forehand will handle the daily operations of Gulfstream Lincoln, a 34,000-square-foot/3,159-square-meter operation dedicated solely to repair and overhaul for components, including alternators, converters, generators, avionics and flight instruments. He reports to Jamie Fields, director, Repair and Overhaul Services, Gulfstream.
Before joining Gulfstream Lincoln, Forehand was Gulfstream’s senior manager of Spare Part Sales, Repair and Overhaul Sales and Aircraft-on-Ground Expediting. In five years in that role, he oversaw company-wide Over-the-Counter Parts Sales, directed Spare Parts Sales teams in Savannah, Dallas and Long Beach, Calif., and supervised Repair and Overhaul Sales in Savannah.
“Arno has provided outstanding service to customers and built strong relationships with them in his more than 15 years with the company,” said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream Product Support. “His logistical expertise combined with his extensive parts knowledge will complement the strong foundation that’s been established in Lincoln.”
Gulfstream Lincoln, located approximately 30 miles northeast of Sacramento at Lincoln Regional Airport, has approximately 50 employees. The site is certified by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration and the European Aviation Safety Agency, and has numerous original equipment manufacturer authorizations. Its capabilities include testing, inspection, repair and overhaul for electromechanical, electric and electronic components; avionics, rotables, brakes, wheels and tires, spare parts exchanges and repairs; and government parts sales.
Forehand earned a degree in marketing from the University of Georgia.
