Bombardier Honours its Operators and Suppliers for Outstanding Performance

Nineteen outstanding airlines were recently named the recipients of the seventh annual Airline Reliability Performance Awards.

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - April 29, 2014) - Bombardier Aerospace today recognized operators and suppliers who achieved exceptional operational performances last year. The ceremony took place during the company's All Series Operators Conference and Trade Show in Orlando, Florida.

Nineteen outstanding airlines were recently named the recipients of the seventh annual Airline Reliability Performance Awards. The awards, presented by Bombardier's Customer Services, recognize operators of CRJ regional jets and Q-Series turboprops who logged dispatch reliability rates of 99 per cent or better during 2013. Wideroes Flyveselskap AS and ANA Wings received the award for the seventh consecutive year. For the first time, this year's event honoured three overall regional winners for the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) as well as the Asia-Pacific regions (the winners are listed in Appendix A).

The new overall Regional Reliability Performance Awards were created to reflect Bombardier's new regional structure. The winners of the overall regional awards are recognized for having the highest operator performance in each of the three larger regions - regardless of which product they operate or sub-region they belong to (e.g. North America within the Americas).

Four suppliers were also honoured with the In-Service Supplier Top Achievement Recognition (STAR) Awards for excellence in providing support to Bombardier customers. To be considered for this award, a supplier must have scored at least 90 per cent in areas deemed most important by Bombardier's customers, such as: product performance; aircraft support; and customer focus. The most improved supplier award recognizes the supplier who has demonstrated the greatest year-over-year improvement in customer support (the winners are listed in Appendix A).

"These awards are a testament to the value we place on building strong, lasting relationships with our operators and suppliers," said Todd Young, Vice President, Customer Services and Support, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft. "As we intensify our local presence globally, we also wanted to acknowledge this growing diversity with our newly presented awards for the regions. As a Customer Services team, we are proud to be a part of this global community on a daily basis."

From April 28 to May 1, the All Series Operators Conference and Trade Show is an interactive and informative event designed to promote Bombardier Customer Services' partnership with commercial aircraft (Q-Series turboprops, CRJ regional jets and CSeries aircraft) operators, suppliers and partners, as well as industry affiliates. The event highlights key operational achievements and improvements and creates a unique opportunity for all participants to network with airlines, industry experts and program suppliers.
