ST. LOUIS, April 24, 2014 — Victor Technologies has launched a new training site that allows users direct and rapid access to quality training materials and tools from the company’s website. Content is now available without log in or registration credentials, and it has been optimized for access on mobile devices.

The site URL is http://training.VictorTechnologies.com, or it can be accessed from www.VictorTechnolgies.com by clicking on the “Training & Resources” tab. Victor Technologies provides superior solutions for cutting, gas control and specialty welding equipment under brand names that include Victor®, Victor®Thermal Dynamics®, Victor®Arcair®, Victor®TurboTorch®, Tweco®, Thermal Arc®, Stoody®, Firepower® and Cigweld®.

With the implementation of an extensive database and use of meta tags, visitors can search for cutting and welding information by brand, process or an individual item using a simple keyword search.

“We want the Victor Technologies’ training site to become the go-to resource of the cutting and welding industry,” says Robert Shigley, Senior Training Manager. “End-users and distributor partners need easy access to a full range of information, wherever they are, and they can easily get it by accessing this site.”

Visitors to the previous training site (which required registration and log in credentials to view information) will find that Victor Technologies has added new content. In addition, the company revised existing resources to conform to the new asset database. The company’s library-style approach to content management will keep resources fresh and relevant.

“The new site provides immediate value to visitors by giving them the resources they need up front, without having to log in,” says Shigley. “However, additional learning opportunities are available by registering, which is free.” If visitors wish, they can track their learning history by creating a log in and building a profile.

“We will continue to strive for tailored use, as well as improve the availability of high quality content on our training site,” says Shigley. “With our open, web-based learning system, Victor Technologies has taken learning in a new direction for the cutting and welding industry.”
