In past years, the Rock Valley College Aviation Maintenance Technology Dept. has asked regional companies to conduct “mock interviews” for our graduating students receiving their Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic’s License as it gives them a chance to meet with prospective employers to review their resume, discuss job opportunities, etc.
We have decided to take this a step further and host an Aviation Job Fair this year and are looking for more companies who may be interested to participate.
The Job Fair will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. It will be held in the Commons area of the Rock Valley College Stenstrom Center for Career Education located at 4151 Samuelson Road in Rockford, IL. next to Jefferson High School.
We are hoping to have companies choose to participate in this event for our graduating students. Even if they do not have current openings, it will give our students experience in seeing the many diversified opportunities in using their A&P License. If they do have openings, it will be a great opportunity for them to review a large pool of potential applicants.
Tables and chairs will be set up. All you they will need to do is have one or more representatives show up with any other brochures, handouts or applications they care to bring.
