Seven Aviramps For Dallas Fort Worth International Airport

Aviramp UK today announced a major milestone in its strategy for global expansion with the signing of a contract from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport USA (DFW) for seven of its innovative aircraft boarding ramps.
As previously contracted, the closing of this deal was subject to evaluation of previous purchases. Dallas Fort Worth Int took delivery of two models of Aviramp's Aircraft boarding ramps for evaluation, expectation where exceeded as the airport awarded this year’s order for two of the smaller Domestic models which service smaller regional jets, four of the larger Continental models which service aircraft such as the Airbus A319 and Boeing 737’s mid-range jets which are expected to be delivered by May 2014.
Furthermore the order included an International model which is to assist on aircraft such as the Airbus A380 and Boeing 747.The order was placed when this particular model was at design stage awaiting prototype development; it is quite a large unit, however pleased with Aviramp’s previous aircraft boarding ramp and service, DFW are confident in Aviramp to deliver the same results with this model.

The patented aircraft boarding ramps are transforming the way airline passenger’s board and disembark aircraft.

Aviramp core purpose is to:

  • Allow passengers with reduced mobility (PRM) to aboard and disembark aircraft using the same entrance used by all passengers. Eliminating the traditional method they us to access the aircraft by being carried up and down the air-stairs by handlers or taken away from other passengers and boarded on a Ambulift, methods which offer no dignity.
  • Relieve parents with young children, taking away the anxiety of the child potentially falling down stairs or even falling themselves when physically carrying a child. The portable jet bridges also benefit passengers who find the mountainous climb up and down air-stairs daunting.
  • For airlines and airports, Aviramp provides a product that is by far more cost effective and tested highly efficient. Minimising delays and also eliminating the requirement for an Ambulift.
