MIAMI, Florida, March 31, 2014 – A 39,973-square-foot hangar facility designed and built by Miami-based Lemartec Engineering and Construction Corporation for Miami Executive Aviation has been honored by Varco Pruden Buildings, one of the nation’s largest providers of metal building systems.

Lemartec has received a Best in Class in Varco Pruden’s annual Hall of Fame awards in the Transportation category.

The highly competitive Hall of Fame Awards are presented annually to the independent authorized Varco Pruden builders whose work reflects outstanding integration of building systems, products, architectural appearance, end use and design. Varco Pruden has a network of more than 1,000 builders in the United States and Canada

The recently completed Miami Executive Aviation facility is capable of hosting large business jets such as the G650 or the Global 7000 with lengths upwards of 115 feet and wingspans up to 105 feet. The facility also includes 5,650 square feet of office and support space.

Lemartec began construction of the project in January, 2013, and completed  it in November.

The structure was equipped with innovative LED industrial lights that provide equivalent light at considerably less electrical use and longer bulb life.  The lighting results meet or exceeded the quality of light from the traditional metal halide high bay fixture.

The hangar section houses a 200-HP fire pump system and state-of-the-art foam suppression system designed to minimize any potential damage to stored aircrafts in the event of an emergency. There are also high-expansion foam generators combined with wet pipe closed-head sprinklers.

Miami Executive Aviation, LLC is the largest single FBO in the Ross Aviation chain of FBOs.

In his comments about the facility, Fabio Alexander, the FBO’s CEO said, “MEA is extremely satisfied with the quality of the Varco Pruden metal building. This is the third metal building we have purchased and we have found the quality and design to be of the highest level in comparison to the cost. We are also impressed by the flawless production and project coordination between VP and Lemartec Engineering & Construction.”
