JETS (Biggin Hill) Limited, which marked its first birthday in January, has been endorsed with ISO 9001 certification. This status follows an appraisal of its quality of expertise and capabilities by an independent assessor. This accreditation, supported by the UK Government and widely recognised in industry around the world, follows hard on the heels of the same award to JETS Bournemouth last summer.
Chris Webb, Quality Safety & Airworthiness Manager of JETS (Biggin Hill) Limited, who accepted the certificate from Lead Auditor of QMS International plc Jerry Martin last week said: “We are delighted to earn this status for our Biggin Hill facility after just one year of operations here, JETS (Biggin Hill) has quickly become an important base for our expanding maintenance activities in the UK and we have experienced a marked increase in visiting Falcon business jets coming in for MRO activity since winning Authorised Service Centre status from Dassault.”
JETS was established in October 2004, initially to provide MRO services to Hawker 125s. Today it boasts a broad range of engineering capabilities at both its Bournemouth and Biggin Hill locations in aircraft maintenance, avionics installation, refurbishment, exterior painting, Part-M services and hangarage. Under its EASA Part-145 approvals, JETS carries out scheduled base maintenance and defect rectification, through minor and major modification embodiment to full cabin interior refurbishment in conjunction with its sister companies 328 Design GmbH, a full EASA Part 21J Design Org (Category 1A) and 328 Support Services GmbH a Part 21G Approved Production Org (C1, C2 and D1 Rating) with an EN9100:2009
