February 2013 – Camarillo, CA – Sun Air Jets recently announced the appointment of their new Part 145 Director of Maintenance, Rich Blasier, as well as the promotion of Ricardo Rivas as their new Part 135 Assistant Director of Maintenance.
As Sun Air’s new Part 145 Director of Maintenance, Mr. Blasier will provide leadership and oversight of the entire maintenance department and staff. His prior 15 years of experience as a hands-on maintenance manager makes him imminently qualified to ensure the highest level of safety and maintenance care is applied to Sun Air’s fleet of 11 aircraft.
As a 3 year veteran of Sun Air’s Maintenance Department, Mr. Rivas has quickly developed into an invaluable assistant to Sun Air’s Director of Maintenance, Dave Anderson, and will be responsible for maintenance projections, facility audits, and RII item audits and approvals among many other duties. Both appointments are subject to approval by the Sun Air’s FAA PMI.
