As part of a long-term Total Component Support (TCS) contract concluded with GMF AeroAsia, Garuda's technical support provider, Lufthansa Technik will immediately take over the complete supply of components for up to 18 modern CRJ1000 regional aircraft.

With its new contract for complete component supply for Garuda Indonesia's fleet of Bombardier CRJ1000s, the Hamburg-based MRO provider Lufthansa Technik AG has now established a presence in the growth market of Indonesia. As part of a long-term Total Component Support (TCS®) contract concluded with GMF AeroAsia, Garuda's technical support provider, Lufthansa Technik will immediately take over the complete supply of components for up to 18 modern CRJ1000 regional aircraft.

Total Component Support covers a comprehensive spectrum of services, including the supply of spare parts from Lufthansa Technik's component pool, maintenance, repair and overhaul of removed components, and supply for Garuda's warehouse at the Indonesian flag carrier's home airport in Jakarta. Logistics and the set-up of the necessary IT interfaces have also been agreed in the contract.

"We're very pleased that we have been able to place our component product successfully in Indonesia as well. Indonesia is enjoying above-average development in the Asian growth market, and naturally we'd like to be a part of that," says Robin Johansson, Lufthansa Technik's Director Sales for South East Asia and Australia.

Garuda Indonesia serves 42 domestic and 20 international destinations and operates a strongly growing fleet of 110 aircraft that currently includes twelve CRJ1000s.
