Singapore…February 10, 2014… BBA Aviation, a UK based aviation support and services company, continues to expand its presence in Asia Pacific. During 2013, the company’s Signature Flight Support and Ontic operating units commenced operations in Singapore alongside its established turbine engine repair facility operated by subsidiary Dallas Airmotive.

The company also supports the region in Bangkok through its ASIG airline fueling and ground services company and in Hong Kong through Signature Flight Support.

“The rapid growth of all segments of aviation in Asia Pacific calls for experienced and capable support infrastructure,” commented David Best, President BBA Aviation Asia Pacific. “BBA Aviation is comprised of diverse aviation specialty companies that can service and support needed solutions to the commercial airline, private aviation and military aviation sectors. We feel this growth will continue and it offers numerous opportunities for us to contribute to the success of aviation in the region. We view Singapore as an important hub for much of this activity, but are actively seeking opportunities throughout the region.”

Signature Flight Support launched operations at Changi International Airport in the summer of 2013. The company, which boasts the world’s largest network of Fixed Based Operations (FBOs) for business aircraft operators, will provide supervisory services for ground handling and fuel coordination. Located at the JetQuay CIP Terminal, Signature Flight Support offers private lounge facilities and personalized services such as immigration and baggage clearance and private rest areas with shower facilities.

Ontic opened a new maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) services facility in Singapore on September 25, 2013. Ontic is the aerospace industry’s leading producer of “Extended Life Solutions” for OEM legacy products and systems for commercial, military and business aviation aircraft. Co-located with Dallas Airmotive’s Regional Turbine Center in Seletar Aerospace Park, the company supports more than 20 Asia Pacific airline customers. The Singapore facility’s primary focus is on Boeing 777 and Airbus A318, A319 and A320 fuel measurement system product repairs and assemblies as well as Boeing 737 Classic, Fokker and Airbus A300 aircraft.

“The establishment of these companies in Asia Pacific demonstrates BBA Aviation’s commitment to supporting its customers wherever they need us,” stated Best. “The economic growth this region is experiencing suggests there will be many more opportunities for our services. We look forward to contributing to the success of aviation in this region.”
