Chemetall Receives Best Performer Award by Airbus

To comply with the increased demand from the customer, the leading global surface treatment company has recently invested in capacity extensions of the sealant production in its manufacturing facility in Langelsheim, Germany.

Chemetall has been awarded the prestigious Gold Award for “Best Performer” in the “Materials & Parts SQIP 2015” program by Airbus honoring suppliers for their performances and their commitment to the Airbus on-time and on-quality targets. The supply chain & quality improvement program (SQIP) has the goal to develop the performance of both Airbus and suppliers towards industrial excellence.

From this plant as well as from the French production site in Soissons, Chemetall supplies a wide range of aircraft sealants, corrosion inhibiting compounds, cleaners, paints strippers and other pretreatment technologies to various Airbus sites in Europe.

As a preferred supplier of Airbus, the surface treatment company offers advanced technologies, which fulfill the highest specifications. The Naftoseal® polysulphide aircraft sealant technology, for example, has been developed for the specific demands of the aerospace industry and holds major OEM and maintenance approvals.
