Velocity Aerospace Adds FDU-70 and FDU-3000 Flux Detector Overhaul Services

Heading systems using the FDU-70 and FDU-3000 Flux Detectors are popular on turbine powered fixed and rotary wing aircraft in the Business Aviation fleet, and are commonly found on aircraft in the Regional and Commercial Air Transport Service.

The FAA has approved Velocity Aerospace – Ft. Lauderdale’s Repair Specification RSN-003 for Overhaul, Repair, and Certification of FDU-70 and FDU-3000 Flux Detectors.  Adding capabilities for this family of Flux Valves (P/N’s 622-5812-XXX, 622-8154-XXX and 822-1193-001), completes Velocity Aerospace-Ft. Lauderdale’s ability to support the components of most Collins heading systems. 

Heading Systems using the FDU-70 and FDU-3000 Flux Detectors are popular on Turbine Powered fixed and rotary wing aircraft in the Business Aviation Fleet, and are commonly found on aircraft in the Regional and Commercial Air Transport Service.  Systems using these Flux Detectors are also common on Military Aircraft Fleets worldwide.  Velocity Aerospace- Ft. Lauderdale’s Engineering Department previously developed repair capabilities for Honeywell/Sperry and most other Flux Detector families.
