ExxonMobil Aviation Secures Rolls-Royce Approvals for Mobil JetTM Oil 387, A Synthetic, High Performance Capability (HPC) Turbine Oil

Rolls-Royce approves Mobil Jet Oil 387 for use in its Trent 1000, Trent 900 and Trent XWB engines

(Fairfax, VA, January 23, 2014)ExxonMobil Aviation’s Mobil Jet™ Oil 387, a synthetic High Performance Capability (HPC)* turbine engine oil, has secured Rolls-Royce’s approval for use in   Rolls-Royce’s Trent 1000, Trent 900 and Trent XWB engines.

These Rolls-Royce aircraft engine technologies are used to power some of today’s most advanced aircraft including Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner and Airbus’ A380 and A350.

Approved against some of the most demanding industry specifications, including SAE AS5780 High Performance Capability (HPC) and U.S. Military Specification MIL-PRF-23699-HTS Mobil Jet Oil 387 is suitable for a wide range of civil, commercial and military aviation applications. 

It is formulated to deliver exceptional component protection for numerous engine technologies, ranging from today’s most advanced jet engines to single engine turboshaft helicopters. 

The performance of Mobil Jet Oil 387 has been documented in extensive testing, spanning thousands of hours of in-flight testing and ground service, conducted in partnership with a number of major airlines.
