Worcester, Pennsylvania (January, 2014) - Techni-Tool Inc. was recently honored by the DLA Land and Maritime, Columbus, Ohio, as one of the government’s best suppliers in 2012. Named at an award ceremony in November 2013, the Recognition for Excellence Bronze Award is given to suppliers who attained an exemplary level of contract performance and supplied products the government can be confident in using. Techni-Tool was one of only 199 companies to receive this recognition.
Companies that qualify as Automated Best Value System award winners have met the stringent quality and delivery requirements established by the Defense Logistics Agency. The ABVS, a computerized system, collects a vendor’s performance data and translates it to a numeric score ranging from zero to 100. To be eligible, vendors must have shipped 50 or more contract line items during a 12-month period, and a score of at least 98 is required for an award.
