Searey Light Sport Elite Amphibious Plane Ready For Take Off

The Searey Elite, designed and manufactured by Progressive Aerodyne, is equipped with a Rotax 914 turbocharged engine and is equally at home on the ground, in the air, or on the water.

Tavares, Florida, January 10, 2014 -- Progressive Aerodyne, Inc., is pleased to announce the FAA certification of the Searey Light Sport Amphibious Airplane, Elite Version. The Searey Elite, designed and manufactured by Progressive Aerodyne, is equipped with a Rotax 914 turbocharged engine and is equally at home on the ground, in the air, or on the water. This stylish aircraft offers many advanced features such as a large sliding canopy that can remain open while flying. The Searey Elite also has the very latest in-flight, GPS, and AOA and Gear Position warning systems, a wide cabin, and much more.

Airworthiness certification for the Searey Elite was issued in December 2013, and the first two airplanes will take private ownership in January 2014 at a ceremony to be held at Progressive Aerodyne's manufacturing facility in Tavares, Florida. The Searey Elite will also be on display at the Sebring U.S. Sport Aviation Expo, January 16-19, 2014.
