TIMCO Awarded New Contract to Provide JetBlue A320 Airframe Maintenance

It has signed a new contract with JetBlue Airways for the delivery of MRO services on its fleet of A320 aircraft. The contract covers a three year period beginning January 1, 2014 and includes a two-year extension option.

GREENSBORO, NC—19 December, 2013 … TIMCO Aviation Services (“TIMCO”) announced today that it has signed a new contract with JetBlue Airways (“JetBlue”) for the delivery of maintenance, repair and overhaul (“MRO”) services on its fleet of A320 aircraft. The contract covers a three year period beginning January 1, 2014 and includes a two year extension option. The work includes scheduled airframe MRO services as well as support for unplanned maintenance events and needs.

All of the work will be performed at TIMCO’s Lake City, Florida multi-hangar facility where TIMCO has been providing similar work for JetBlue since 2010. In fact, the Lake City operation has completed nearly 700 A320 family maintenance visits for multiple customers over the past 10 years, 124 of which have been for JetBlue.

At a contract signing ceremony Wednesday at JetBlue’s Long Island City Support Center in New York City, Bill Norman, TIMCO President MRO Services, said, “We truly value our relationship with JetBlue, and we are proud to have been awarded the privilege of continuing to serve their fleet needs in the years ahead.” He added, “We recognize they value attention to safety, quality and timeliness in the delivery of MRO services, and our team is eager to continue to exceed their expectations.”
