Greenwich AeroGroup Names New President for NASAM

Warren Persavich will retire and step down as President and Chief Executive Officer of NASAM, Inc. at the end of the year. Replacing Persavich as President is Richard Archer.

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., December 19, 2013 – Greenwich AeroGroup announced today that Warren Persavich will retire and step down as President and Chief Executive Officer of NASAM, Inc. at the end of the year. Persavich has been President of the company since 2012 and was with Banner Aerospace for more than 30 years prior.

NASAM, which was founded in 1980 by Aki Sato, is an international distributor of high tech electronics such as military/defense equipment, spacecraft sub-system and components, aircraft support equipment and products and telecom-related components.  NASAM specializes in supporting Japanese defense aircraft and aerospace programs, spacecraft and telecommunications industries. 

Replacing Persavich as President is Richard Archer.  For the last five years he has held the position of Chief Financial Officer for Aero Precision and will retain those duties when he takes over NASAM in January 2014.

“Rich will be a great addition to the NASAM team,” said President and CEO of Greenwich AeroGroup Jim Ziegler. “He has been working closely with Warren and his extensive knowledge of operations, strategic planning and change management will be a valuable asset to the organization.”

Prior to Aero Precision, Archer has also held senior financial positions with Wente Family Estates, Yamanouchi Consumer Inc. and The Clarks Companies.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Stonehill College.
