ALEXANDRIA, VA - The Airport Consultants Council (ACC) is pleased to announce that Matt Griffin has joined the ACC staff as Director, Regulatory Affairs & Education, effective today. Griffin's experience in airport development, operations and regulatory issues will be a strong asset added to the staff in 2014 - ACC's first year under the leadership of its new president, T.J. Schulz.
Prior to joining ACC, Griffin spent more than six years working for Airports Council International - North America (ACI-NA), most recently as a senior manager in their Center for Policy and Regulatory Affairs. In this capacity, he regularly interfaced with a number of airport stakeholders, including the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Airlines for America (A4A). In his new role at ACC, Griffin will lead the organization's engagement on regulatory and technical issues that are critical to the airport development industry. He will work closely with ACC committees and continue to develop and enhance the ACC Institute educational offerings via conferences, training programs, webinars and more.
"Matt is an extremely capable professional with a solid grasp on many facets of the aviation industry," said incoming ACC President T.J. Schulz. "He is sharp, savvy, and dedicated, and has a good rapport with numerous people in the airports community. We are very excited to add someone with his knowledge, experience, and dedication to service to our staff."
