AUSTIN, TEXAS – (November 25, 2013) - Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and concessionaire Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services are thanking our military this holiday season by providing complimentary meals to all active-duty United States military.
Beginning Thanksgiving Day 2013, among the busiest travel times of the year, any active-duty United States military service member flying through the Austin airport can show ID at any Delaware North concession location and be treated to a sandwich or slice of pizza, a side or bag of chips, and a medium fountain drink (non-alcoholic). The “Thank You Meal” program will continue through the holidays, ending at midnight on January 1, 2014.
“Offering a meal is our way of taking care of members of the armed forces as they fly through the Austin airport,” explains Matt King, President of Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services. “Whether they are flying home or to a new assignment, while they are our guest at the airport, we want to make sure they are well-fed. It’s Delaware North’s way of saying thank you.”
Active military can receive their free meal from the following locations: Annie's Café, Ray Benson's Roadhouse Bar, Mangia's Pizza, Austin Java, Schlotzsky’s Deli, The Salt Lick Bar-B-Que, Earl Campbell's Sports Bar, Maudie's Tex-Mex, Hill's Café, Nuevo Leon Mexican Restaurant, SoCo Market, and Saxon Pub.
Delaware North is a family-owned company that believes in honesty, integrity and hard work. The men and women of the United States military extol these same virtues. This is just a small way to show them how much their selfless actions are appreciated.
Please help Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services and the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport say “thank you” by passing along our invitation for a complimentary meal to our military heroes.
