Vero Beach, Fla., Nov. 19, 2013 - Piper Aircraft's float in the 2013 Annual Christmas Parade, presented by the Oceanside Business Association and Treasure Coast Rotary Club, will be the collection point for the Toys for Tots campaign.

The new, unwrapped toys collected during the Dec. 7 parade on Oceanside Drive in Vero Beach will be turned over to the Marine Corps League, Detachment 58 and the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 1038 Toys for Tots of Indian River County campaign.

"Since there's no stopping during the parade, Piper employee and family volunteers will collect the donated new toys from those along the parade route and place them in Piper's float," said Piper Director of Marketing and Communications Jackie Carlon. The contributed toys collected by Piper volunteers will be turned over to the Marines and Vietnam Veterans of America for distribution to those who need a little help for their children's upcoming Christmas.

"Piper is so pleased to be able to help out in this way," Carlon said. "As one of the larger employers in Indian River County, Piper and its employees embrace opportunities to give back to the community, and this seems like a perfect fit."
