Lufthansa Technik AG is expanding its long-established activities in the important and strongly growing Middle Eastern aviation market even further. At Lufthansa Technik Middle East Services (LTMES), headquartered in Dubai, the range of technical services and sales activities for the region's customers is being expanded significantly.
"Lufthansa Technik Middle East Services bundles all the contact partners for sales, logistics, Lufthansa Technical Training and the component business, and makes them available here in Dubai," says LTMES Managing Director Ziad al Hazmi. "We have already added local employees to strengthen both our customer service in the area of component support and the sales office for our regional VIP customers."
"Now we are considering expanding our material support services, deploying specialized personnel for our customers in the region and providing line maintenance services for customers outside Lufthansa."
Owing to rising demand for on-site technical services for nacelle components, repair operations for Airframe Related Components (ARC®) will be expanded as early as the beginning of 2014. With a local facility in place, spare part provision and repairs can be offered more efficiently to customers in the region. Depending on the required service, repairs can be undertaken either at the customer site or in Dubai without creating additional transport expenses, or be organized within the Lufthansa network.
In early 2014 LTMES will also begin to offer the highly efficient engine wash service Cyclean Engine Wash at its facility in Dubai as well as at the region's airports. This service has been used by 30 customers around the world and is available for all current engine types. It increases engine performance and reduces kerosene consumption by up to one percent as well as CO2 emissions. Currently there are more than 30 Cyclean Engine Wash stations in operation in North and South America, Europe and Asia.
