There are plans drawn for a state-of-the-art showroom and maintenance facility in Salt Lake City dedicated strictly for the HondaJet, but the aircraft distributorship is expected to create from 75 to 100 jobs.

Immediately after wrapping up its showing at NBAA, Honda Aircraft Company chose Keystone Aviation to unveil the new HondaJet to the general public. Previously seen only at aviation industry events, the HondaJet was displayed for a lunchtime showing in a TAC Air SLC hangar.

“It is an honor to unveil the future of jet technology in Salt Lake City,” Bill Haberstock, HondaJet Northwest president said. “The HondaJet’s forward-thinking design provides an unsurpassed travel experience, and we are thrilled to offer the best of the best here locally.”

The HondaJet is an advanced light jet with revolutionary technology and design attributes that help it achieve far better fuel efficiency, more available cabin and luggage space, and higher cruise speed than conventional aircraft in its class. Notably, the HondaJet has pioneered the Over-The-Wing Engine Mount (OTWEM), which provides a quieter, faster ride through increased aerodynamics.

The HondaJet Northwest distributorship will also be bringing jobs to Salt Lake City. Not only are plans drawn for a state-of-the-art showroom and maintenance facility dedicated strictly for the HondaJet, but the aircraft distributorship is expected to create from 75 to 100 jobs.
