Las Cruces Aero Services Adds to its Management Team

Milton Purvis was named the company's Director of Maintenance.

Las Cruces, NM – Las Cruces Aero Services, LLC announced the addition of Milton Purvis to its management team.

Mr. Purvis, who joined the company in March, was named as the company’s Director of Maintenance. He has an extensive worldwide background maintaining – and directing the maintenance of – the Cessna 400 series of aircraft as well those powered by Pratt & Whitney’s PT6.

John Kavchar, President of Las Cruces Aero, said, "Besides his mechanical expertise with the planes we specialize in, Milton has written a number of FAA required operations manuals for other companies." One of Mr. Purvis’ responsibilities with Las Cruces Aero has been to refine their safety management systems.

"Although we’re not a certified repair station," Mr. Kavchar said, "we understand how the systems employed by repair stations enhance safety. We’re a small company but we want to offer that level of security to our customers."

According to Mr. Purvis, the company had an established safety management system in place when he arrived. "We’ve been tweaking it since then," he said. "I think our quality assurance system now rivals those of the largest companies in the industry."

Las Cruces Aero Services is a small company located at the Las Cruces International Airport. They have particular experience maintaining Cessna 421s. Along with a partner company, they also restore and install aircraft interiors.
