Liebherr-Aerospace Supplies Key Systems for Challenger 350 Aircraft

Oct. 30, 2013
The Challenger 350 aircraft will feature two flight critical systems from Liebherr-Aerospace: the flap actuation system and the air management system.

The latest born of Bombardier’s Challenger family of mid-size business jets, the Challenger 350* aircraft, will feature two flight critical systems from Liebherr-Aerospace: the flap actuation system and the air management system.

The flap actuation system is designed, developed, manufactured and serviced by Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH Lindenberg (Germany), Liebherr’s center of excellence for flight control, actuation and landing gear systems. The design, development, manufacturing and service of the air management system is within the responsibility of Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS, Toulouse (France), Liebherr’s center of excellence for air management systems. Both systems derive from the ones already integrated in the highly successful Challenger 300* aircraft, to further enhance reliability, passenger and crew comfort as well as weight effectiveness.

Liebherr-Aerospace is proud to contribute to a new Bombardier program with its technologies, and to thus reinforce its long-standing relationship with Bombardier. Liebherr has been supplying major aircraft systems from all its product lines – landing gear, flight controls and air management - to a number of Bombardier* aircraft over the last thirty years, ranging from the Global* and Learjet* aircraft families for executive business aviation to the Dash 8*/Q-Series*, CRJ* and CSeries* aircraft families of commercial aircraft.
