StandardAero Business Aviation Acquires RE100/RE220 and TFE731-50 Engine Authorizations/Testing Certifications in 2013

StandardAero received authorization to perform line services on the Honeywell RE100 and RE220 APUs at the company’s Los Angeles (LAX) facility.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – October 22, 2013 – StandardAero expanded its list of engine MRO capabilities in 2013 by adding several key, strategic, authorizations and engine test certifications, fortifying its tenure as leader in business aviation MRO with more TFE731 engine maintenance than anyone.

Recently, StandardAero received authorization to perform line services on the Honeywell RE100 and RE220 APUs at the company’s Los Angeles (LAX) facility. The new service authorizations are part of the company’s CompleteCare® strategy allowing StandardAero technicians to perform APU maintenance for its Global Express and Lear customers

Earlier this year, StandardAero was certified as an authorized testing facility for the Honeywell TFE731-50 engine –­ the most recent engine certified by Honeywell. StandardAero is the only facility, other than the OEM, that has TFE731-50 test capability and to date, has completed 10 Major Periodic Inspections (MPIs) on the engine. The TFE731-50 powers the Hawker 900XP aircraft and there are over 350 engines currently is service.
