Professional Resources in System Management, LLC (PRISM), is pleased to announce the launch of their newest Safety Management System (SMS) Course & Workshop for Aviation Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Organizations (MRO). The course provides the necessary theory and practical knowledge required to implement SMS in Aviation Maintenance organizations, such as 14 CFR Part 145 Repair Stations, Fixed Based Operators (FBO’s) or other non-certificated companies employing groups of Airframe & Powerplant Mechanics.

“Our PRISM team of aviation experts are excited about expanding our safety and quality management training to the MRO community,” said Bill Yantiss, PRISM Executive Vice President. “Our team has contributed heavily to ICAO and FAA SMS guidance materials and wish to share this expertise with the MRO industry segment. We believe we can add value to your business while reducing overall operational costs.”

The two-day course is intended for personnel at all levels in an aviation maintenance organization involved in the development, implementation and optimization of a Safety Management System. It will also provide the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively implement SMS in aviation maintenance organizations thus achieving consistent and measurable improvements in safety performance over time.

“Our PRISM team has provided business, helicopter, and air carrier operators with risk management and educational services that have added significant value to their operations in terms of safety improvements and reduced operational risk,” continued Bill Yantiss. “We’re delighted to expand these services to the MRO community through on-site coaching and training sessions. Our Aviation Risk Management Online Resource (ARMOR) software is easily adaptable to your unique operational requirements and we have the training systems to support your management team.”
