SINGAPORE / October 18, 2013 – Jet Aviation Singapore and Air Transport Training College at Seletar Aerospace Park announced today that they will jointly support a Licensed Aircraft Engineer Training Program for business aviation. As part of the agreement, Jet Aviation will provide required on-the-job training opportunities to students enrolled in the SAR 66 Cat B1.1 at ATTC.

To develop a competitive pool of local licensed aircraft engineers and related professionals for the business aviation network at Seletar Aerospace Park, Jet Aviation Singapore and the Air Transport Training College (ATTC) at Seletar Aerospace Park are cooperating to offer an ATTC – Jet Aviation Licensed Aircraft Engineer Training Program for Business Aviation. The joint program is to be integrated within the ATTC’s SAR 66 Cat B1.1 training program currently on offer, which requires students to complete on-the-job training (OJT).

The ATTC’s SAR 66 Cat B1.1 training program is a compulsory component of the 2-year Foundation Degree (FD) program as well as the 3-year Bachelor of Science (Hons) program in Aircraft Engineering at Kingston University. Jet Aviation Singapore will offer OJT opportunities at its premises to students selected for the ATTC – Jet Aviation Licensed Aircraft Engineer Training Program. All other students enrolled in the FD or BSc (Hons) programs at ATTC, including graduate students working towards a type-rating as licensed aircraft engineers, are also eligible to participate.

“Extending as many training opportunities as possible to as many students at Seletar Aerospace Park as possible helps secure a highly trained and much needed local workforce,” said Liu Wing Tim, managing director at the ATTC. “We are very pleased to work with Jet Aviation Singapore to realize our mutual goals.”

“We are fully committed to hiring from Singapore’s skilled pool of talent and to supporting the infrastructure at Seletar Aerospace Park, which serves our business aviation customers in the region,” said Gary Dolski, vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation Singapore. “By selecting, training and retraining qualified engineers, we can best ensure we will continue to meet customer requirements and the highest business aviation standards.”

Jet Aviation will be in booth #N1932 at the National Business Aviation Association’s 2013 Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition in Las Vegas.
