WICHITA, Kan. (Oct 15, 2013) – Beechcraft Corporation today announced it will participate in the 2013 China International General Aviation Convention (CIGAC) this week in Xi’an, Shaanxi, China. The company will display a King Air C90GTx at the biennial event, which is supported by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the People's Government of Shaanxi Province and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade to support the development of general aviation in the country.

“We continue to experience strong demand in China for our piston and turboprop aircraft – particularly the King Air C90GTx,” said Ted Farid, Beechcraft vice president of sales, Asia Pacific. “The King Air C90GTx is used by many aviation colleges and organizations throughout the region to meet the growing demand for multi-engine pilot training. The airframe provides a reliable training experience in a cost efficient solution that features performance standards and technology accepted by the majority of airlines around the world.”

Key enhancements to the King Air C90GTx include an increase in gross weight and the addition of composite winglets, which improve climb performance and further increase fuel efficiency. Featuring a cabin 50 percent larger than some very light jets, the C90GTx seats up to seven passengers in its famed squared-oval design, allowing greater passenger comfort. It includes an in-flight accessible, heated and pressurized baggage storage area along with a private aft lavatory as standard.
