Above Alaska Aviation Named First-Ever Factory-Approved Poly-Fiber Installation Center

Oct. 4, 2013
The concept to create a network of quality installation centers came about at the 2013 Great Alaska Aviation Gathering, put on by The Alaska Airmen's Association, at the Anchorage international Airport.

Talkeetna, Alaska – Finding a quality aircraft fabric covering facility just got easier!  Above Alaska Aviation is proud to announce that they have been named Poly-Fiber’s first-ever factory-approved installation center.

After years of phone calls to the Poly-Fiber factory from aircraft owners requesting recommendations for a quality facility to have their aircraft recovered, Jon Goldenbaum, President of Consolidated Aircraft Coatings, has decided to create a simple and easily accessible network of factory-approved installation centers across the country. Goldenbaum has selected Above Alaska Aviation of Talkeetna, Alaska, as the first factory-approved Poly-Fiber installation center of this network.

The quality of aircraft fabric recovery is highly dependent on the skills of the installer. Finding a reputable and quality facility can be a daunting task for aircraft owners, who have likely heard or seen plenty of less-than-ideal cover jobs.  The concept to create a network of quality installation centers came about at the 2013 Great Alaska Aviation Gathering, put on by The Alaska Airmen’s Association, at the Anchorage international Airport. It was here that Goldenbaum inspected the workmanship of a PA-18 Super Cub that had been recently recovered by Above Alaska Aviation.  Goldenbaum was so impressed that he selected Above Alaska Aviation to be the launch installation center.

A list of factory-approved installation facilities will be made available on the Poly-Fiber website at www.polyfiber.com. You will find facilities by state with phone numbers and websites listed. More facilities will be added in coming months.
