ASIG Panamá Commences Aviation Fuel Services At PAC

Orlando, October 1, 2013 … ASIG Panamá, S.A. announced today that it has commenced aircraft fueling services at Albrook "Marcos A. Gelabert" International Airport (PAC) for all general aviation and domestic commercial flights serving Panama at PAC. The company is also managing and operating the airport’s sole fuel facility. ASIG Panamá, S.A. has been contracted to provide these services on behalf of PAC’s fuel suppliers including Petróleos Delta, S.A.

ASIG Panamá, S.A. officially began operations in Panamá at Tocumen International Airport (PTY) in 2011 and provides comprehensive aviation fuel services to the entire airport. “We are very pleased that ASIG Panamá, S.A. has extended its footprint in Panamá, an important gateway in Central and Latin America,” said Tony Lefebvre, President and Chief Operating Officer of ASIG. “We are excited to strengthen our operations with new partnerships in the country and are committed to strategic investment in the future economic growth of the aviation community in this region.”

ASIG Panamá, S.A, a joint venture, including ASIG Ltd., an affiliate of Aircraft Service International Group Inc. (ASIG), was awarded a 20 year concession to provide aviation fuel services at Panama's Tocumen International Airport (PTY) in 2011. ASIG Panamá, S.A under the concession agreement manages and operates the airport's sole jet fuel facility as well as provides aircraft refueling services to all of the airlines serving PTY. The company has invested in a new fleet of aviation fueling equipment, has commenced a multi-million dollar project to upgrade the airport’s fuel facility and has future plans to expand the existing fuel storage at the airport.
