JSSI Technical Expertise Transitions into Educational Video

The video provides an in-depth look at critical maintenance issues for both engines and airframe and how they directly relate to the valuation of business jet aircraft.

October 1, 2013 – Chicago, Illinois -- Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI), the leading provider of hourly cost maintenance programs for the business aviation industry, has launched an educational video series, recounting JSSI’s Aircraft Educational Seminar that was presented in April 2013 on behalf of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA).

Presented by George Kleros, Senior Vice President, Technical Service Operations for JSSI, as part of a continuing education series offered in conjunction with the National Aircraft Finance Association (NAFA) annual meeting, this informative program is targeted to aircraft appraisers and the aircraft finance market. The video provides an in-depth look at critical maintenance issues for both engines and airframe and how they directly relate to the valuation of business jet aircraft. The pre-recorded presentation is available from the JSSI website at www.jetsupport.com and is divided into five one-hour modules.  The first segment covers Hard Time & On-Condition Engines; the second reviews On-Condition Task Oriented Engines; the third is on Corrosion of Turbine Engines; the fourth is Maintenance Scheduling & Operating Cost; and the final segment covers Corrosion of Airframes.

“There are so many areas to consider from a maintenance standpoint, when putting a value on a pre-owned aircraft,” stated JSSI’s George Kleros. “At JSSI, we manage thousands of aircraft maintenance events every year for our customers, so this is where our expertise lies. Putting this video together and working with ASA and NAFA to deliver this program made perfect sense to us as a way of giving back. Now other industry professionals can learn from these video segments, at their leisure, via our website,” added Kleros.

Ken DuFour, ASA seminar facilitator commented, “JSSI provides excellent tools and expertise to the industry. Their distinct hourly cost maintenance programs provide a great service to help retain an aircraft’s value, so we appreciate their generosity in developing this informative seminar for ASA and look forward to continuing our relationship in the future.”
