Moline, IL, September 30, 2013 - Elliott Aviation, a leader in a diverse set of business aviation services, today announced their plans to pursue STC’s for installation of Aircell’s newly announced ATG 2000 broadband system in multiple aircraft including Hawker 800/850/900, Phenom 300, King Air 350 and King Air B200/B200GT. All STC’s are expected to be completed by first quarter 2014.
The Aircell ATG 2000 is a more affordable cabin broadband wireless system aimed at mid and light sized jets and turboprops that will allow passengers to connect to the internet on their laptop, smartphone and tablets. In addition to internet, voice service is available on either Gogo OnePhone cabin handsets or on personal devices via the Gogo Text & Talk service. The service also allows passengers to use their own smartphones for calling and texting in flight with their own mobile number. The ATG 2000 carries a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $57,000 and can be installed with minimal downtime in conjunction with maintenance event.
“The Aircell ATG 2000 gives mid and light sized jet and turboprop operators reliable high-speed internet service at an extremely competitive price,” said Mark Wilken, Director of Avionics Sales at Elliott Aviation. “Having WiFi on your airplane ensures that corporate passengers can be more productive, efficient, allowing them to have a better quality of life on the ground. Charter services and corporate owners are now able to offer services similar to those on major airlines at a more affordable price.”
Elliott Aviation is an authorized service center for King Air, Phenom 100/300 and is the only independent Hawker authorized service center east of the Rocky Mountains.
