AJW Aviation Signs Agreement for B767-200

The aircraft spares support specialist has signed a consignment agreement with Aviation Capital Group for part out.

London -- AJW Aviation, a leading independent complete aircraft spares support specialist, has signed the consignment agreement for a B767-200 aircraft from Aviation Capital Group (ACG) for part out.

The teardown process took place in Victorville, CA with the part-out starting on September 9 and parts subsequently made available from mid-October 2013. A provisional fit list has already been compiled with parts available for lease, exchange and sale, including two CF6-80C2-B6 engines which AJW will have exclusive management responsibility to lease. After lease, the engines will be torn down to harvest parts for pool access by the AJW Engines division.

The aircraft, owned by ACG, will replenish AJW’s strategic aircraft spares stock held at operational centres in London, Singapore, Dubai, Montreal and Miami, as well as locations across Europe and North America. AJW Technique, the group’s comprehensive component repair facility in Montreal, will be used to repair many of the off-coming units before putting them into stock.

Steve Williams, Director of Aircraft Engine Services at AJW Aviation, comments, “This is the first aircraft consignment agreement, which ACG has entered into and we are delighted that after a rigorous selection process they have chosen AJW. This is an exciting opportunity for AJW as the part-out not only greatly benefits our Boeing 767 customers, but also gives us the ability to add CF6-80C2-B6 engines to our current lease stock. In the past twelve months we have heavily invested in engine management and inventory to support an increasing number of operators and MRO facilities worldwide and this consignment opportunity will significantly benefit the Engine division’s development.”

Conducting business with more than 800 airlines in 115 countries, AJW is highly regarded for its 24/7 AOG and critical service excellence and its ability to provide guaranteed delivery from a significant core inventory of Airbus and Boeing spares, comprising over 400,000 line items valued at almost US $500m.
