ARGUS Selects Litson & Associates, South Africa as Strategic Partner for African Market

Sept. 25, 2013
Litson & Associates will support ARGUS’ elite charter ratings and due diligence program

ARGUS International, Inc. (ARGUS) is pleased to welcome the highly regarded firm Litson & Associates as ARGUS’ newest global strategic partner. Litson & Associates, located in Cape Town, South Africa, will support ARGUS’ elite charter ratings and due diligence program, perform audits to the Platinum, IS-BAO, and IOSA standards, and deliver other safety related services throughout Africa. This move supports heavy air traffic increases already seen in the air carrier, cargo, corporate aircraft, and rotary wing sectors, which are anticipated to grow significantly in the years to come.

“ARGUS has been studying the African market for quite some time and realized early on that we needed to identify a local partner to properly introduce our services in this growing region”, said Joe Moeggenberg, President and CEO of ARGUS. “We were so impressed with what Mike Litson and his team have done, in regards to their audit and safety management system business throughout Africa, that it was an easy decision for us to partner with a company that absolutely mirrors ARGUS’ commitment to offering the best audit and aviation safety services, state-of-the-art software, and from the most professional and experienced people.”

The energy, mining, tourist travel and humanitarian industries are some of the many reasons why air travel is on the rise throughout Africa. Many of the countries within Africa are saddled with older technology, infrastructure, and equipment; but they share a common goal of making air travel safe and efficient for their passengers and employees. The audit and safety management system services, provided by ARGUS and Litson, offer one of the fastest ways to identify areas of needed improvement and follow up with the education, training, systems and software solutions that could provide significant enhancements in a short period of time.

Mike Litson, Founder and CEO of Litson & Associates added, “We are extremely pleased to have formed this relationship with ARGUS as their Strategic Partner in the African marketplace. This relationship will also significantly expand the offerings we can provide our customers, allowing us to deliver an even more comprehensive and cost effective solution that will be welcomed by our operators. There are many highly professional and capable aviation companies and individuals throughout Africa who will appreciate these additional resources in their quest for improving aviation standards and air safety.”

Mike Litson will be representing both ARGUS and Litson & Associates, as a panelist discussing various aviation safety issues, at the upcoming AfBAA event being held in Marrakesh on September 26 and 27.
