Alexandria, VA – The National Air Transportation Foundation (NATF) is proud to announce that Matthew Groh, a freshman at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, is the recipient of the 2013 Navigate Your Future Scholarship.

The Navigate Your Future Scholarship was established in 2012 as an annual scholarship awarded to one college student each year to help them further their education in aviation-related fields. The scholarship applicant must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and have aspirations to become a pilot in either general or commercial aviation.

“On behalf of NATF, I congratulate Matthew Groh on his academic performance in the field of Aviation Technology,” said Thomas L. Hendricks, National Air Transportation Association President and CEO. “We look forward to Matthew achieving his goals and aspirations for a career in general aviation.”

Groh is a member of Purdue’s National Honor Society and is also a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association.

“I am proud to have been selected for this scholarship and I am looking forward to a career in general aviation,” said Groh. “My feelings about flying are synonymous with the words of Leonardo da Vinci, ‘For once you have tasted flight, you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return’."

The National Air Transportation Foundation is dedicated to promoting general aviation careers through its scholarships and grants.
