AutoBuilders Awarded Galaxy Aviation Hangar Project at Palm Beach International Airport

AutoBuilders General Contracting Services, Inc. (“AutoBuilders”) today announced it has been awarded a signature aviation-transportation project, a 65,000 square-foot hangar at Galaxy Aviation, Palm Beach International Airport (“PBIA’). The project was necessitated by a strong demand for parking for private aviation customers. The completed project will provide space for 15-20 private jets and hold 15 office suites.  Companies leasing space will employ about 50 workers. Among attendees at the recent groundbreaking ceremony wasFlorida Governor Rick Scott. Galaxy Aviation is the nation’s second-busiest airport for private planes.

Unlike the metal hangars common to PBIA and many airports across the country, AutoBuilders is constructing the hangar using concrete.  AutoBuilders Chief Executive Officer Robert “Bob” W. Rawe II stated, "Galaxy is very forward thinking in meeting the growing needs and demands of the private aviation community, and meeting those needs via a highly secure, safe and functionalstructure. This is a project perfectly suited to our team’s strengths and experience."
