FAIRFAX, VA – August 20, 2013- Salient Federal Solutions, Inc. (Salient), a leading provider of information technology, engineering, and intelligence analytic services to agencies in the intelligence, defense, homeland security, cyber security, and federal civilian markets, today announced the award of a subcontract from Merlin RAMCo, Inc. supporting the Saudi Support Personnel (SSP) contract. The SSP contract supports the Air Education and Training Command (AETC) and Air Force Security Assistance Training (AFSAT) Squadron. This 12-month base with 6-month option award has an anticipated value of $4.4 million.
Under this contract, Salient will provide instructors to support the training needs of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) as a result of the U.S. Foreign Military Sales program. Salient’s efforts are focused on improving the RSAF interoperability with U.S. and other friendly forces to enhance regional stability in accordance with U.S. military objectives.
AETC is the executive agent for all Air Force-sponsored international training and education. The command implements and approves Air Force-sponsored security assistance training and monitors the progress of training and the welfare of U.S. Air Force-sponsored international students. Under AETC, AFSAT develops, delivers, and manages education and training solutions in support of U.S. Security Cooperation objectives. The training program managed by AFSAT directly supports the RSAF’s goal of modernizing its Air Force.

The work will be performed in collaborative support from Salient’s Talent Operations Center (TOC). According to a news release, Salient’s TOC draws on a resource pool with over 400,000 candidates and maintains contact with thousands of instructors who are carefully screened for their qualifications before they are recruited. To fulfill the technical qualifications of potential candidates for Salient's TOC, Salient’s behavioral science tool, Performance DiagnosticTM, is employed. This tool leverages behavioral science to determine the likelihood of success and scientifically matches instructors to the unique challenges in the Saudi culture while being on travel for extended periods. The news release says Salient’s proven training approaches coupled with proven Talent Operations and Performance Diagnostic processes assure the most effective training is delivered to meet customer needs and objectives.
