FlightSafety Appoints Chip White, Manager, Orlando Learning Center

LA GUARDIA AIRPORT, NEW YORK (July 29, 2013) – FlightSafety International announces that Chip White has been appointed Manager of its Learning Center in Orlando, Florida. Andy Johnson, who previously served as Manager of the Center, is now Manager of the Gulfstream Learning Center in Savannah, Georgia.

“Our Orlando Learning Center Customers and Teammates will benefit from Chip’s proven leadership abilities, in-depth understanding of FlightSafety’s training programs, and his commitment to provide outstanding service,” said Greg McGowan, Senior Vice President, Operations.

Chip joined FlightSafety in the year 2000 as an instructor at the St. Louis, Missouri Learning Center and was promoted to Assistant Manager in 2002. He was named Manager of the Long Beach, California Learning Center in 2004, Manager of the Columbus, Ohio Center in 2007, and most recently served as Manager of the Savannah Center.

He served with the United States Navy prior to joining FlightSafety. He flew a wide variety of military aircraft, including the C130, DC-9 and Gulfstream IV during his 27 year career, and retired with the rank of Captain.

Chip holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the State University of New York in New Paltz, a Masters of Education from National-Louis University in Chicago, and a Diploma in Industrial Relations and Military Sciences from the United States Air Force.

The Orlando Learning Center offers training for 10 Cessna Citation aircraft. They include the Citation Bravo, Citation CJ2, Citation CJ3, Citation Encore, Citation Excel, Citation Mustang, Citation Sovereign, Citation X and Citation XLS and XLS+. FlightSafety has provided factory authorized training for Cessna Aircraft Company for more than 30 years. Training for pilots, maintenance technicians and other aviation professionals who operate Cessna aircraft is also available at FlightSafety’s Learning Centers in Atlanta, Georgia; Columbus, Ohio; Long Beach, California; Paris, France; San Antonio, Texas; Wichita, Kansas; and at the Farnborough Airport in the United Kingdom.
