Piedmont Aircraft Continues Steady Stategic Growth

Piedmont Aircraft has promoted company veteran Paul Strack to the newly created position of Vice President of Acquisitions.

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – July 23, 2013 – Piedmont Aircraft has promoted company veteran Paul Strack to the newly created position of Vice President of Acquisitions.  Strack was previously Aircraft Sales Director and has been with Piedmont for more than 20 years.  The promotion—together with Piedmont’s solid financial standing—means that the company is now in a position to build aircraft inventory.

“We now have access to significant capital, and with Paul’s promotion we are in a good position to continue our strategic expansion,” said Tom Mekis, CEO of Piedmont.  “This includes the ability to both broker and acquire previously owned aircraft to build our inventory.  That clearly sets us apart in this marketplace.”

The aircraft sales numbers speak for themselves.  In the past four years Piedmont has sold 145 aircraft with a market value of more than $260 million.  “The numbers document Piedmont’s significant and steady growth and are worth noting,” added Mekis.  “I’m proud of what we have accomplished in a relatively short time span.”
