Oshkosh, Wis. (July 23, 2013) — At this year’s Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wis., Rockwell Collins will showcase its latest flight deck, cabin and services innovations for business aviation, and — new for 2013 — the company will host a series of daily informative talks in its exhibit. The topics will range from glass cockpit retrofits and aviation weather to the search for Amelia Earhart and flying in the Red Tails Squadron.

“AirVenture is just as much about learning as it is being wowed by the stunning variety of aircraft on display and flying in the sky,” said Scott Gunnufson, vice president, Sales and Marketing, Commercial Systems for Rockwell Collins. “Attendees will appreciate the caliber of speakers we’re delivering in our daily talks, which will be a great complement to our innovative products and solutions throughout our exhibit.”

In addition to the forums, Rockwell Collins plans to hold a daily HGS™ Flight tournament in its pavilion Monday through Friday of AirVenture at 3:00 p.m. Participants will compete for highest score on the company’s iPad® head-up display simulation application. Sign-up sheets will be available in Rockwell Collins’ pavilion each day.

Aside from its physical presence and Hangar C sponsorship, Rockwell Collins is returning as the presenting sponsor of EAA AirVenture’s daily airshows, including the widely popular Night Air Show, which is now two nights — Wednesday, July 13 and Saturday, Aug. 3. Since debuting in 2010, this event has become the marquee attraction of AirVenture.

The Rockwell Collins Night Air Show is scheduled to begin at approximately 8:30 p.m., with fireworks and the "Wall of Fire" to follow.

The Rockwell Collins Night Air Show is a one-of-a-kind, signature event, bringing tens of thousands of people to the flight line to see some of the world's best aerobatic artists performing in sync with pyrotechnics and music.

Crowd favorites like the AeroShell Aerobatic Team (four T-6s), Bob Carlton (Super Salto), and Gene Soucy (Showcat) are scheduled to return in 2013, along with the Misty Blues Parachute Team, Roger Buis (Otto the Helicopter) and Steve Oliver (FireDancer).
