EAA Young Eagles Program Premieres New Aviation Careers Video Series at AirVenture

Each video focuses on a specific aviation career and highlights a personal story in that field.

EAA AVIATION CENTER, OSHKOSH, Wis. – (July 23, 2013) – A new video series showing the wide variety of careers the aviation industry offers will debut at EAA AirVenture, which runs from July 29 - Aug. 4. The series was created in partnership with the EAA Young Eagles, the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT) Foundation and LiveAirShowTV.

EAA’s and the Young Eagles’ mission is to increase participation in aviation, and this video series showcases a variety of careers that are available to those who have a passion for flight. Each video focuses on a specific aviation career and highlights a personal story in that field. Careers featured include an aircraft mechanic, an airline dispatcher, an airline operations manager, an aircraft manufacturing specialist, an air safety specialist and many more.

“Having a passion for aviation can be more than just a hobby,” said Bret Steffen, EAA Director of Education. “These videos demonstrate how people can fulfill that love of flight everyday through a variety of careers.”

The videos will premiere on Thursday, Aug. 1 at 10 a.m. in the Chapter Young Eagles Pavilion during AirVenture. After the debut, the videos will be available online at www.youngeagles.org and www.liveairshowtv.com. Tickets for AirVenture can be purchased online ahead of time or at the admission gate.
