Spirit Avionics, Ltd based in Columbus, Ohio, is proud to support the Youth Aviation Adventure (YAA) mission of providing young boys and girls with the opportunity to learn about aviation first-hand by hosting the YAA Hangarfest 2013 event in their hangars.

“When the Youth Aviation Adventure (YAA) program was started by Steve Wathen and Dan Kisser in 1997, the idea was to help local Boy Scouts earn aviation merit badges,” said Rick Ochs, Chairman and Founder of Spirit Avionics, “but it didn’t end there. In fact, it just kept growing and now boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 18 have the opportunity to not only hear about aviation but actually touch and be a part of the aircraft service operation. For Spirit Avionics, it is not only our privilege to support the YAA through Hangarfest 2013 but our obligation to help our youth experience the joys of aviation. They are our future.”
