Sage Parts Opens Facility In Chile

Sage Parts will dispense GSE replacement parts, manage inventories and provide an extensive range of GSE support services.

Melville, New York, June 18, 2013. Sage Parts, the world’s leading supplier of replacement parts for ground support equipment, has announced the creation of a new Sage facility located onsite at Santiago International Airport (SCL) in Santiago, Chile.

The facility is operated by Andes Airport Services, which is a business division of LATAM Airlines Group S.A. LATAM is among the leading airline groups in the world and the largest carrier in South America.

Sage Parts will dispense GSE replacement parts, manage inventories and provide an extensive range of GSE support services at the SCL location. The onsite Sage presence at Santiago International Airport represents an important foray by Sage into the southern hemisphere, part of the company’s continuing and highly successful strategy of bringing parts and GSE services closer to the point of use.

In addition to the various benefits our customer will experience on the parts side, the program will provide a significant logistic benefit for LATAM by reducing significantly freight expenses and other costs associated with bringing GSE parts into the region.
