Silver Airways Welcomes Travis Christ as New Chief Commercial Officer

A veteran of 25 years in the aviation industry, Christ started his career in airport operations at American Airlines, advancing progressively through Continental Airlines, America West, and US Airways.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – (June 26, 2013) Silver Airways has expanded its management team, naming Travis Christ to the newly created position of Chief Commercial Officer. In his new role, Mr. Christ will direct the full extent of the airline’s commercial activities, including schedule planning, revenue management, partnerships, marketing, e-commerce, sales, and distribution.
 
A veteran of 25 years in the aviation industry, Christ started his career in airport operations at American Airlines, advancing progressively through Continental Airlines, America West, and US Airways. Christ handled roles in route planning and scheduling, government affairs, sales, consumer marketing, wholesale vacation packaging, and distribution. He was eventually appointed Vice President of Sales & Marketing at US Airways, a position he held concurrent to serving as President of US Airways Vacations.
 
Mr. Christ has also served as President of the Americas for Travelport, a global distribution systems firm that provides transaction-processing and business-intelligence solutions to airlines and other travel service providers in more than 160 countries.
 
Immediately prior to joining Silver Airways, he served as Chief Marketing & Sales Officer for Row 44, an inflight connectivity provider responsible for the development of satellite-based Wifi service for airlines around the globe.
