ICG Names Carlos Monsalve Vice President, Sales, for Its Commercial Aircraft Systems Division

Monsalve has served as a consultant to ICG over the past several years and has represented the company with commercial air transport customers.

Newport News, VA, June, 2013 — ICG (International Communications Group, Inc.) has announced the appointment of Carlos Monsalve to Vice President Sales, Commercial Aircraft Systems (CAS) Air Transport Division. In his role as Vice President of Sales for the CAS division, Carlos’ duties will include responsibility and management of the CAS global sales team, alliance partners and distribution network, as well as assisting in marketing concepts and developing sales and product strategies. He will report directly to Armin Jabs, ICG’s President of CAS.

Mr. Monsalve has served as a consultant to ICG over the past several years and has represented the company with commercial air transport customers. His expertise and real world experience as an active airline pilot has also been of immeasurable help in shaping ICG’s role as the leader in providing satellite based flight deck data link (ACARS, FANS 1/A, CPDLC) technology and LRC voice communications solutions.

“As a pilot, Carlos understands the flight crews’ needs and requirements for reliable communications. As a business executive, he understands airline operations as well as an airline’s need for cost control and a reasonable Return on Investment (ROI). He has been instrumental in developing a broad network of operators who have collaborated with ICG to share their knowledge and insights regarding product requirements, leading to superior products,” Jabs stated. “Carlos has more than 30 years of experience in the aviation industry, and 10 years heading marketing, sales and business development activities, which will continue to be his focus at ICG. He brings a strong resume of consulting with avionics manufacturers, airlines, aircraft manufacturers, aerospace companies and government agencies to his new position at ICG,” he added.

Mr. Monsalve holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Concordia University, Montreal and has both American and Canadian Airline Transport Pilot licenses. He has accumulated close to 15,000 hours flying for corporate flight departments, cargo companies, regional and international airlines. He holds type ratings on both Boeing and Airbus aircraft and has also worked as a Designated Flight Test Examiner and an Aviation Safety Officer.
